St Paul says that if Christ was not resurrected, our faith is in vain. This is a bold, unremitting statement. It is also a statement that meets resistance in modern culture: surely we can see that such a claim is impossible and even ludicrous! Many people have made such critical assertions.
This E&B session will explore the historical dimension of the resurrection of Christ. Why is this claim plausible and credible despite appearances to the contrary? What do we need to know in order to take the resurrection seriously? These are the questions at the heart of this session.
